For our annual New Year game in 2000, we selected the the battle of Loigny from the Franco-Prussian War. The French were soundly defeated, with two divisions being completely destroyed. A large Bavarian division spent the entire battle trying to find some French to attack. Once again, the rules were 'Principles of War', and once again the photos were by Tony Cane, using his new digital camera.
